514PASS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. Introduction
514PASS ("514PASS," "we," "us," or "our") operates a Montréal-first platform where members can discover local creators, follow them for free, and purchase a creator's PASS to unlock premium content. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
514PASS is currently in beta. Some workflows described below (such as payments for PASSes, Private Media, and LIVE tips) are manual for the time being — this policy describes what actually happens today, not planned future features.
By using 514PASS, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — the email address and password you use to sign up and sign in, managed through our authentication provider, your username, and an optional profile photo.
- Creator profile information — display name, username, bio, city (chosen from a fixed list of supported areas), profile photo, and cover photo, for accounts that become a creator.
- Creator verification information — a government-issued photo ID (driver's licence, health card, passport, or other government-issued photo ID) uploaded when applying to become a verified creator.
- Payment information — for PASS, Private Media, and LIVE tip payments: amount, currency, payment reference, status, and related dates. For Interac e-Transfers, the 514PASS Interac address you selected. For Bitcoin payments, the BTC amount, the CAD/BTC rate used for your quote, the receiving address, and the transaction ID (TXID) you submit. We do not collect or store credit or debit card numbers, banking credentials, or Bitcoin wallet keys.
- Payout information (creators) — the Interac e-Transfer email address you provide to receive your earnings, plus payout amount, fees, status, and timestamps.
- Content you create — posts and media you publish as a creator, comments, messages you send (text and, where enabled, photos, videos, and Private Media), LIVE chat messages, hearts, and tips (including whether you chose to stay anonymous).
- Activity information — follows, likes, saves, comments, PASS and unlock status, BTC Supporter points (calculated from your confirmed Bitcoin payments), and the notifications this activity generates.
- Blocks and reports — the users you block, and, if you or another user submits a report, the reason given, any additional details, and the account(s), message, or content involved.
- Account and security metadata — basic session and authentication data needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account, handled by our authentication provider, and a "last active" timestamp updated periodically while you have 514PASS open.
- Push notification data — if you turn on push notifications on a device, the technical subscription details your browser provides for that device (a push endpoint and encryption keys), linked to your account.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- create, operate, and secure your account
- display public creator profile information to other visitors
- review and verify creator identity during creator onboarding
- process and manually verify Interac and Bitcoin payments (PASS, Private Media, LIVE tips), and process creator payouts
- enable core features: following, messaging, comments, LIVE streams and chat, notifications (including push notifications you turn on), likes, and saves
- display badges such as PASS member, creator, or BTC Supporter
- review reports, apply blocks, and take moderation action where appropriate
- provide support when you contact our Support team
- maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the platform
- communicate with you about your account or the service
4. Public Profile Information
We distinguish between public and private information. For creator accounts, the following is public and visible to any visitor — including on the Discover page and the creator's public profile: display name, username, city, profile photo, cover photo, bio, verified status, and PASS price.
Member accounts (non-creator) do not have a public profile page. However, your username, profile photo (if any), and account badges are shown to other users next to your comments, your LIVE chat messages, and in conversations you take part in. When you send a LIVE tip, your username is shown in the LIVE unless you choose to stay anonymous.
Your email address, password, verification documents, payment records, Bitcoin transaction IDs, push notification data, and private messages are never made public.
5. Creator Verification Information
Identity documents submitted for creator verification are not public and are never shown on your profile. They are stored in a private, access-controlled storage location and can only be viewed by you and authorized 514PASS staff reviewing your application, through time-limited secure links generated at the moment of review.
We use this information solely to verify creator identity and eligibility to publish on the platform.
6. Payments, PASSes, Private Media, Tips and Payout Information
514PASS is currently in a beta payment stage that uses manual Interac e-Transfer and Bitcoin (on-chain) workflows rather than automated card processing. For a PASS, Private Media, or a LIVE tip, a member sends an Interac e-Transfer to the 514PASS address they selected, or sends Bitcoin to the address shown and submits the transaction ID (TXID); our team manually matches and verifies the payment. We store the payment details listed in Section 2 and associate them with your account.
Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public blockchain. Anyone who knows a transaction ID or address can see the transaction on the blockchain; 514PASS does not control this and cannot delete it.
We do not collect or store your banking credentials, card numbers, Interac security question answers, or Bitcoin wallet keys, and 514PASS does not currently process credit or debit card payments.
The creator concerned can see that you purchased their PASS or unlocked their Private Media, and can see tips sent during their LIVE; if you choose to stay anonymous, your username is not shown in the LIVE.
For creators, payouts are sent by Interac e-Transfer to the destination email address you provide in Creator Studio. We store the requested and net payout amounts, any applicable fees, status, and related timestamps to process and track your payout.
7. Messages, LIVE and User Content
Direct messages you send through 514PASS — including photos, videos, and Private Media where enabled — are stored so we can deliver the messaging feature, and are only accessible to the participants in that conversation and, where necessary, our team when handling a report, a support request, or a platform-safety issue. Photos, videos, and Private Media sent in messages are kept in private storage and displayed through short-lived secure links; Private Media stays locked for the recipient until the payment is confirmed. When you delete a text message, its content is removed, but a record that a message existed may remain.
Posts and media you publish as a creator are stored on our infrastructure and shown to other users according to your own access settings (for example, free vs. PASS-only content). Comments are stored and shown to users who can see the post.
LIVE video is transmitted in real time through our streaming provider (Section 9). 514PASS does not currently record or store LIVE video. LIVE chat messages, hearts, tips, and basic LIVE statistics (such as viewer counts and duration) are stored.
8. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- publicly, where the information is part of a creator's public profile (see Section 4)
- with service providers who process information on our behalf to operate the platform (see Section 9)
- with other users to the extent a feature requires it — for example, a message is visible to the person you sent it to, a comment or LIVE chat message is visible with your username and badges, and a creator can see that a member holds their PASS or unlocked their Private Media
- with authorized 514PASS staff (Admin and Support) to the extent needed for their role — for example, Support can see limited account information to help you, and only Admin can see account activity such as the "last active" timestamp
- when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of 514PASS, our users, or others
9. Service Providers
514PASS uses Supabase as its authentication, database, and file storage provider — account data, profile data, messages, posts, and verification documents are stored and processed through Supabase's infrastructure on our behalf.
514PASS is hosted on Netlify's infrastructure, which serves our website and may log standard technical request data (such as IP address and request timestamps) as part of normal web hosting operations. We do not currently have Netlify Analytics, or any other analytics, advertising, or tracking service, enabled on 514PASS.
LIVE streams are delivered through LiveKit, a real-time video provider. When you broadcast or watch a LIVE, your audio/video stream (for creators) and technical connection data (such as IP address and connection quality) are processed by LiveKit to deliver the stream.
If you turn on push notifications, notifications are delivered through the push service operated by your browser or device maker (for example, Apple, Google, or Mozilla). These services receive the push subscription and the notification sent to your device.
Interac e-Transfers pass through your own financial institution, and Bitcoin payments through the public Bitcoin network; 514PASS does not control these systems. We do not use any other third-party processor at this time. This section will be updated if that changes.
These service providers may store or process your personal information outside Québec and outside Canada (for example, in the United States). When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by their authorities.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you the service, comply with our legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with it within a reasonable time, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain records — for example, payment and payout records for accounting purposes, or information related to an open report or investigation.
We do not currently operate on a fixed, automatic deletion schedule for identity verification documents; they remain in our private storage, accessible only as described in Section 5, for as long as needed for verification and account-integrity purposes.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including restricting identity verification documents to a private, access-controlled storage location, limiting access to your data based on your account role, and encrypting data in transit.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
12. Cookies, Local Storage and Similar Technologies
514PASS uses a small number of storage technologies:
- Authentication cookies, set by our authentication provider, to keep you signed in and to protect your session. These are essential to the service.
- Local storage in your browser to remember preferences such as your language (English/French) and this device's notification settings. This stays on your device.
- A service worker, if you install 514PASS as an app or turn on push notifications, so your device can receive and display notifications.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing pixels on 514PASS.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws — such as Québec's private-sector privacy legislation or Canada's federal PIPEDA — may give you rights over your personal information, which can include the right to access the information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, and withdraw consent where our use of your information relies on it.
These rights may be subject to limits, for example where we need to retain certain records for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
If you live in Québec and are not satisfied with how we handled your request or your personal information, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
14. Account and Data Requests
You can update most of your profile information yourself from your account or Creator Studio settings, and you can turn push notifications off on each device at any time. 514PASS does not currently offer self-service account deletion. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask a question about this policy, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (in Québec, within 30 days of receiving your request).
15. Minors / 18+ Platform
514PASS is intended for adults only and is not directed at anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create or hold an account. If 514PASS becomes aware that a user may not meet the minimum-age requirement, we may review the information available to us and take appropriate action to the extent supported by our systems and required by applicable law. Any handling, retention, restriction, or deletion of associated personal information will be carried out in accordance with applicable privacy law and our data-retention obligations.
For more detail on age and eligibility rules, see our Age & Eligibility Policy.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as 514PASS evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to bring it to your attention within the platform.
17. Contact
